Hillarious,brilliant,cute and with extensive dossier of phobias (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) , still he is able to solve the unique and baffling myteries with his trademark of wit,wisdom...and hand wipes, i supposed. Yes, that's Andrian Monk. Basically he was a police officer with an extraordinary brain and had helped the police to solve lots of unusual cases. But 6 years ago, due to the death of his wife by a bomb trap and his failure in solving this case, he had become almost ''insane'', unable to live on his own ,as it's the end of the world. Luckily with the help of his doctor - Dr Charles Kroger,and his loyal assistance, Sharona Fleming, finally he is able to back to the reality and has become a private detective which always consults the police department to solve all the impossibles.
Of course, with his fears of milk,snakes,height,dirt...etc etc, it seems that this is not his field of work, as a detective. Surprisingly, yes he is able too!! And i guess that's the only job he can do,lol.Well,he is actually the 100% Mr.Right, with all the qualities,emm...except for his ''problems'' with all his phobias,haha.Of course sometimes, there are lots of ''complications'' during the process of solving a crime, together with the San Francisco Head of Police Department - Captain Leland Sottlemeyer and his assistance , Lieutenant Randall Disher , they will work together and it's always lots of fun during the process,with his phobias.Still, the end, he did it beautifully.Though sometimes it's too fast.
Well,maybe we shouldnt say it's Andrian Monk who is the smart head, but the writers. Yes, those are the real brilliant fellows.With all their crime plans , which are all seem to be impossible, i believe they can be the Masters of Crimes.
This type of crime show, is actually the same type as one of the most famous novel - Sherlock Holmes.Instead of using high-tech instruments, DNA and etc etc(like in CSI), the main ''weapon'' here is the smart brain.Love this show as the cases are unique,and it's FUNNY,which is why we need entertainment.Different from any other police shows, like CSI or Cold Case, which basically show the reality in the procedures,MONK is
the series that emphazises on brain power.
